I just discovered #sioyek, a very fast and simple cross-platform PDF viewer that is designed around reading books or scientific papers. I auto-reloads when the file changes, so is well-suited for a #latexmk workflow. Reloading is quasi-instant and also doesn't redraw everything with this dreaded flic…

In "Mathematica" David Bessis writes:
"While the official knowledge has been transcribed in textbooks the secret art of mathematicians has remained an oral tradition passed down from generation to generation. It reveals what no one dares write down in books because it doesn't seem serious enough, because it's not science, and because it resembles self-improvement too much."
I'm thinking about LRMs doing math research.
Why are they good at it (sometimes) and will they keep improving?
