Hey friends. Also a photo from my hike last Sunday. I came to this hut and tried a counter light. In summer there are usually quite a few people as you can buy some drinks there.
Now.. I had some time to play around with some perspectives. I just liked the silence in the photo. Especially as all others just quickly passed the spot without a lot of notice.

A picturesque winter scene unfolds under a bright, clear sky, where a rustic wooden cabin sits atop a snow-covered hill. The cabin, with its weathered wooden planks and sloping roof, exudes a sense of warmth and coziness against the cold winter landscape. Sunlight bathes the cabin, casting a soft glow and highlighting the texture of the snow that blankets the roof and the surrounding area.

The hillside is covered in a thick layer of pristine white snow, its surface undulating gently and reflec…

'Eisige Zeiten' #FotoVorschlag 'icy times'
Oh I have a couple of frosty photos, but this might be one of my best. I spent quite a while there to capture the cold feeling.
Packed in multiple layers, I really spent quite a while around that spot in order to really see the right motives.
It just reminds me that I could post more of my winter photos! :)

A stunning winter scene reveals a frozen waterfall cascading between towering, snow-covered cliffs. The waterfall, partially frozen in time, glistens with icicles that hang from the rocky ledges, creating a mesmerizing spectacle of nature's raw beauty. The cliffs, blanketed in a thick layer of snow and ice, frame the waterfall and add a sense of grandeur to the scene.

Below, a shallow stream flows gently over snow-dusted rocks, its surface partially covered with a thin layer of ice. The contra…

Photo in the fog that I took last week. I had hoped for more frost but - well. At least there was quite some #fog!
This spot is really interesting. I have there been only a few times now but it looks so very different each time I'm there.

This black-and-white image captures a mysterious and serene scene of a foggy landscape. Tall, leafless trees stand on either side of a calm body of water, their bare branches reaching into the thick mist that blankets the area. The fog obscures the background, creating a sense of depth and adding an ethereal quality to the scene.

The still water reflects the silhouettes of the trees, enhancing the symmetry and tranquility of the image. The overall atmosphere is quiet and contemplative, evoking…

A this photo from yesterday's location scouting could fit for #thickTrunkTuesday , right?
It's been quite a time since I went to a new location with the clear intent of location scouting. - It took me a while until I was able to "see" something as I was so much in walking/hiking-mode.
But it was a good experience to do it again.

This black-and-white image captures a serene and somewhat mysterious winter scene. A large, leafless tree stands prominently in the foreground, its intricate branches reaching out in all directions. The tree is surrounded by a light layer of frost, adding a delicate texture to the scene.

The background is shrouded in a thick fog, creating a sense of depth and obscuring the landscape beyond the tree. The fog gives the image an ethereal and tranquil quality, evoking a sense of calm and solitude.…

Good evening!
Here's a photo similar to one of my last - but this time without the stranger in the photo.
this spot was really pretty cool that day! with the fog and frost. Sometimes a person walking by ... there so many different .. hm moods/motives/situations to capture - just in a single spot.
Anyways, I hope you like it and don't see it as .. intimidating/strange as the one with the stranger in it ;)

A misty winter morning envelops this serene landscape, where a group of tall, leafless trees stands majestically on a gentle hillside. The trees, their bare branches reaching upward, create a striking silhouette against the foggy backdrop. The mist, thick and ethereal, softens the outlines of the trees and the rolling hills beyond, adding a sense of mystery and tranquility to the scene.

The ground is lightly dusted with snow, its white blanket contrasting with the earthy tones of the hillside.…

Almost exactly 2 years ago when it was below -16°C.
This was a real cool experience - literally.
But I'm just so glad that I went there. I think, this waterfall isn't frozen like that so often. So I was just really lucky to be at the right time at the right spot.
And now - enjoy your weekend 😉

A breathtaking winter wonderland unfolds in this stunning scene, where a frozen waterfall cascades down a rugged cliff face, its icicles glistening in the cold light. The waterfall, partially frozen in time, creates a mesmerizing spectacle of nature's raw beauty and power. The ice formations, with their intricate textures and crystalline structures, add a sense of magic and wonder to the landscape.

The surrounding forest is blanketed in a thick layer of snow, with trees standing tall and silen…

Daffodils from early spring this year, I'm just about to go back and develop 1000s of shots from April that I never had time to look at

One more photo today from my recent blog post. At first I really disliked the bright white spots in the background - okay I *still* dislike them.
But ... after a while now I think it's not a too bad photo overall. Anyways - let this be a relaxing start into your weekend!
Cheers! and if you want more context: check out the blog post or even follow my blog from the fediverse: @…

In the heart of a dense woodland, an ancient tree stands as a testament to time, its gnarled roots twisting like veins into the forest floor. Thick layers of vibrant green moss cloak its trunk and sprawling branches, breathing life into the weathered bark. The surrounding forest is a lush tapestry of ferns and leaves, their varying shades of green creating a tranquil, almost enchanted atmosphere.

Dappled sunlight filters through the canopy above, casting soft, shifting patterns on the mossy gr…
