Did I immediately start scanning and analyzing the barcodes? Of course.
Well, KD tickets have two codes: a QR code with binary mash encoded in base64 (unnecessarily), which unfortunately I don't have time to analyze, and a code128 barcode with the ticket series and number, encoded as:
AA000000000 (0)
On the other hand, KW/PR have only code128 with the series and number, but without the digit in parentheses (perhaps a checksum?), even though it is printed on the pass:

Beginn war 12.00 Uhr, als ich 12.15 ankam, war am Einlass eine sehr lange Schlange. Diese wurde aber dank digitaler Tickets und vier Kontrolleuren recht schnell abgearbeitet, was ich erst gut fand. Drinnen dann die Ernüchterung. Vorne war es voll, je weiter hinten man in der Halle war, desto enger wurde es.

(Explanation: many years ago, there used to be a few "RegioExpress" trains with first class seats. Of course, barely anybody cared about that, and I doubt people actually bought first class tickets. Alas, these are long gone.)
