Surfing Ability Summit page at 200% with my keyboard (as one does) and came across this weird control.
Turns out it’s a roled-up button that launches Microsoft Immersive reader. Which is crap at 200%, it turns out.
Anyway, use native HTML buttons and let users rely on their browser’s reader mode.

The new view where the bottom half of the “Immersive Reader” is clipped, the lines of text run out of the viewport to the right with no scrollbar, the Play and Voice Settings buttons overlap one another, and the circle defining the bounds of Voice Settings is itself offset above the icon and mostly over the Play button.

The new battery pack came in the mail and it looks like it will be more conducive than the old one. It still hangs off of the bottom, but it doesn’t hang off as much.

@… max, plus almost a dozen extensions raising it even higher. ~100 errors in config, ~600 in the code, and the other ~1300 in the unit tests. The unit tests will be easy, just a matter of updating mocking. Should be an evenings work to get 80% addressed

When I first created toot.works, I looked into what would be required for all of the safe harbor crap. It was too much money. This past weekend, I looked at it again. It's still too much money, but at least I have a better idea of how much money, now.

@… I'm a little surprised how different some parts of the PICO images are. In the sample image of the lady with a red hat (kodak_kodim04), the eyebrow on the right side of the image is slightly higher than in the reference image. Flipping back and forth between them makes it look like she's subtly hinting something
