It's like clockwork that people feel the urge to bash Apple when you criticize Google.
Apple is certainly not without fault, but they're the only big tech company who gives a shit about privacy.
They also usually aren't sacks of shit to their customers and they are actually driving technology forward to be more useful to human beings (e.g. M-series chips).
Plus they're not cramming "AI" into everything. It's entirely optional to use any of the "Apple Intelligence" stuff and their operating systems are supported on hardware that doesn't even allow running it.

I am trying to restrain my boosting habits more. I realized that duplicate boosts are still a nuisance for some folks, so I am trying to remember that most toots I see because of boosting have probably hit the feeds of everyone who follows me.
I still have old #FowlSite algorithm-feeding habits, even when that's not really a thing here.

1. I am enjoying the app so far. I’m still trying to figure out how to handle the different streams given each has their own volume which might led to missing RSS items among too many toots and blueskies.
2. Based on the few days experience, I feel the area where the app could improve is feed fetching: every refresh results in many, many errors, most of them cause by a 60s timeout.
2.1 Additionally, it's not clear if I should retry a refresh immediately, wait, leave the app do it later.

Was wurde übrigens 6 Monate zuvor noch von TOLV lanciert? Richtig, die Suche nach Kleininvestorys. In dem Fall über Cloudcube. (Wie viele solcher Plattformen gibt es eigentlich? Ich blick nicht mehr durch.)
Das war jetzt etwas unabsichtlich, aber ja, das wäre dann wieder so ein Negativbeispiel bezüglich meines vorherigen Toots. Auch wenn ich es gerade da eigentlich nicht erwartet hatte...
