I feel weird saying this but the first day after one of these is really, really depressing. I spent 18 months planning and saving for the trip that I just got back from. Now what? I did put down a deposit for a next trip, but still.

Question for travelers - Say you needed to go to San Francisco from Vermont for a trip on a Weds-Sat. It's about 9 hours of flying. Then you need to be back in SF a week later (flying on the next Friday). DO YOU FLY HOME IN BETWEEN? Or just stay in SF for the week?
I was just planning to fly home on Saturday and then fly out the next Friday, spending 5 days at home. (It's just plane trips!) But so far most people, including my family, seem to think I'm crazy!
