It worried me by not beeping - but the capslock worked, and after pushing the socketed analogue chips down under the keyboard it's good. It's a bit fuzzy on the UHF, but there again that is a terrible lead I used. Just has DNFS and View in. The W key took some cleaning, and the '.' is still not working. Getting the aux socket out of the PSU is a bastard!…

Speaking of which I am really excited to find out that Thomas Jane, who played Joe Miller in The Expanse, my other favorite Science Fiction TV, will be playing Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in the final episode of Series 5 of Star Trek: Next Generation!
Unfortunately even though its in production now, it won't be shown for at least 1 years from now (Season 4 is supposed to come out some time this year).

@ruth_mottram@fediscience.orgWatched a couple of episodes of #DeArktiskeReddere on DR (public broadcaster on Denmark) yesterday (series about #Greenland's search and rescue team - though they do a lot of emergency air ambulance type work too).
It's a really gripping and well filmed piece of work, sensitive on the difficult topics too and shows really well how different authorities work together.
I imagine it would be uncomfortable watching for USians who seem to imagine some kind of stone age society seeing healthcare emergencies dealt with so professionally with such excellent equipment (and for free at point of delivery).
I also find it hard to explain that the categories and separation between "Danes" and "Greenlanders" isn't always so clear cut and I think the programme got that over well.
It's filmed mostly in Danish but with Swedish, Norwegian and quite a bit of English, so may not travel easily but it's a really well done piece of TV and if you are at all interested in Greenland, it's worth seeking out.

@pre@boing.worldWatched "The Devils Hour" because it's got Stephen Moffat producing and Peter Capaldi acting as a mad man apparently from the future or something.
Started quite slow and fairly normal but escalated and speed up to quite a frenetic pace across multiple timelines.
Spooky and suspenseful and confusing.
I like it.
Trouble is it stopped after two series and series three isn't ready yet so there's this interminable gap to wait now since I'm not a time traveller.
Nor is Capaldi in this show exactly really. Something stranger.
Looking forward to the next season but seems like the wait for time travel shows associated with now or once with Capaldi and Moffat is going to be long in general this year.

Seemed to be longer, more detailed, and the actors made the characters into much more than just stereotypes on a page.
It was funnier, and more captivating.
Really great show.
