Sadly, Fortnite will not return to iOS in Japan in 2025 as promised. Apple was required to open up iOS to competing stores today, and instead of doing so honestly, they have launched another travesty of obstruction and lawbreaking in gross disrespect to the government and people

I'm extending my promise to donate all my book royalties and adding a charity (the Salt Cure Fund). I'm overestimating my 2025 royalties to be $75. I do not have the spare cycles to figure out the accounting for physical book sales. Ebook royalties came out to 56.75.

Benefits to society from coral reefs, including fisheries, tourism, coastal protection, pharmaceutical discovery and more, are estimated at about $9.8 trillion per year. For the first time, an international team led by Smithsonian researchers estimated the extent of coral bleaching worldwide during a global marine heat wave, finding that half of the world's reefs experienced significant damage. Another heat wave began in 2023 and is ongoing.

In other words, giving creative workers more rights without addressing their market power is like giving your bullied kid more lunch money.
