"Should organisations put 'share on twitter' links in their pages?"
I have been of the opinion, for many years, that sharing should be a function of the browser, not the website. Sharing links embedded in pages are as much advertising for social platforms as they are functional.
Should UK government websites be advertising Twitter? No, but I don't think they should be advertising, say, Facebook or LinkedIn either.
