There are a few ways to handle a user whose post frequency is overwhelming your timeline, if you don't want to unfollow them: 1. Turn off boosts for that user; 2. Mute a hashtag that they use a lot that you don't particularly care about; 3. Periodically mute the user for a few hours or even days; 4. Create a list called "Overflow," set it "Hide these posts from home," and then add that user to the list. You shouldn't feel bad about it. Some accounts are just more active than others.

I love #NPR but sadly had to unfollow them on #Bluesky: I just can't take their repeat posts with the same content over and over again. Makes me lose my sense of time.
PS: They are *not* hitting Repost on their posts. They're creating new posts with same content and links. Bad #strategy IMHO.

I'd like to apologise for the weekly spam fests of #strictly and #totp — I won't be offended if you want to mute or unfollow. But it's great fun interacting with people while we watch UK TV live.

I had over three hundred accounts following me that I didn't follow back, mostly because I lost track of all the new followers.
So I did the unthinkable thing:
I asked Perplexity to write me a python script to follow everyone back. I will just unfollow some of them later, if I don't like them enough. But for now, everyone gets the benefit of the doubt.😉
The script needed some adjustments, but it worked.
