They told the poor white man:
"You may be starving,
you may be broke,
but at least you aren't one of Them."
It worked.

Claude 3.7 describes the image as: "The image shows a person with brown hair wearing a gray and cream-colored vest over a dark turtleneck. They appear to be in a scene from a science fiction television production from the late 1970s or early 1980s, as suggested by the distinctive costume styling and visual quality of the footage.

The individual has an expressive facial expression showing concern or mild distress. The background appears minimal and somewhat sterile, consistent with spacecraft o…

I'm especially interested in a few things if anyone is willing to help...
1) missing words and simple typos - My ADHD brain skips words coming out and fulls them in when reading, so it's easy for me to make mistakes and hard for me to catch them.
2) questions - I tend to work from a lot of assumed knowledge, collected from all over, and I'm really trying to make my work more accessible. I assume I'm talking about a bunch of stuff most folks don't know, but I don't know which of them come from some rabbit hole I went down and which are more common knowledge.
3) challenges - I get bored when having things explained to me so I have a tendency to keep explanations light... Which can mean I leave out a bunch of critical context or logical steps.

Velella velella is the by-the-wind sailor, a type of floating colonial siphonophore, almost like a tiny version of portuguese man-of-war. It is often found in large numbers on beaches because they have a "sail" set at 45° either to the left or right. As a result, they can sail differently depending on wind direction. It is thought both forms are mixed m…

Spent time today helping a VAR upgrade from one support appliance to another. Not my job but I get sucked into these things. While racking the new one I found an unknown box in the rack. "What is this?" "Oh, thats <vendor>'s box. We stopped using them years ago." Cue me finding a Ubuntu 16.04 box STILL ON OUR NETWORK FROM A VAR WE DON'T USE. Keep in mind, these are the same folks that run around screaming about security. Some days I really want to just wa…

"Pop open a bottle of bubbly,
Here's to another goddamn New Year
And outside, two million drunk Bostonians
Are getting ready to sing 'Auld Lang Syne' out of tune."
Happy New Years, everyone.

Claude Sonnet 4 describes the image as: "This image shows a scene from what appears to be a science fiction production, set in a rocky, quarry-like landscape with chalk or limestone cliffs in the background. The terrain is rough and barren, with scattered rocks and debris creating an alien or otherworldly atmosphere typical of classic British sci-fi productions from the 1970s-80s.

A figure in a flowing white costume stands prominently in the scene, positioned on elevated rocky ground. The whit…

Claude 3.7 describes the image as: "This image shows a scene from a science fiction television series, set in what appears to be a spaceship or control room. The setting has distinctive angular walls with reddish-brown paneling and hexagonal design elements typical of 1970s/80s sci-fi productions.
