The board of the Wikimedia Foundation has selected Bernadette Meehan to replace Maryana Iskander as CEO of the foundation starting 20 January 2026. Meehan is a career diplomat of the United States and most recently served as the ambassador to Chile. Iskander announced back in May that she would be stepping down.
