So, the whole WeTransfer content ownership thing... Am I correct in thinking that 6.2 and 6.3 are completely at odds with each other?

WeTransfer heeft haar voorwaarden veranderd....
"Je verleent ons hierbij een eeuwigdurend, wereldwijd, niet-exclusief, royaltyvrij, overdraagbaar en in sublicentie te geven recht om jouw inhoud te gebruiken voor de doeleinden van het exploiteren, ontwikkelen, commercialiseren en verbeteren van de dienst of nieuwe technologieën of diensten, waaronder het verbeteren van de prestaties van machine learning-modellen die ons proces voor inhoudsmoderatie versterken"

One aspect of copyright is you may be licensed to have a copy of a file, but that doesn't grant the right to sub-license. So, technically, you can't use a service to transfer that file or (often) store it on cloud services - because they usually require you grant a perpetual license.
In practice this has been ignored as nobody expected it to be an issue.
Maybe until the question of AI training?

@… Meinst du, man kann dem (und denen) trauen? Ich mag den Service „eigentlich“. (Leider gibt es in letzter Zeit vermehrt SPAM mit WeTransfer-Bezug, aber da shat damit ja nichts zu tun.

La Section 6.3 des conditions mises Š jour prévoit que WeTransfer se voit accorder une licence perpétuelle sur vos contenus – sans limite dans le temps, donc – qui lui permet de les utiliser Š sa guise, sans contrepartie.
Concrètement, la licence autorise WeTransfer Š « utiliser, reproduire, distribuer, modifier, préparer des œuvres dérivées, communiquer au public, afficher ou exécuter le contenu ».
