Watched Sinners yesterday, and while there were parts I enjoyed, overall it was a "meh" movie.
I think the problem for me was that the entire movie was exposition about WWII, organized crime, Jim Crow, the death of loved ones, etc. All the stuff that would have been great storytelling.
You rarely saw what was being described; you just had to imagine it the whole time.
If you never saw it or haven't re-watched it lately, binge #WestworldTVSeries. Apart from being great telly, it's horribly prophetic re-AI, warfare, social media.
Most disturbingly, it feels like the AI billionaire overlords, Thiel, Altman et al, are using it as blueprint and not as a warning.
