Zum Rosenmontag: Max Salomon (1886 bis 1977) war ein Kölner Kabarettist und Büttenredner sowie Gründer und Präsident des einzigen jüdischen Karnevalsvereins in Köln während der Weimarer Republik. Nach der Machtübernahme der Nationalsozialisten wurde er ausgegrenzt und erhielt 1935 ein öffentliches Auftrittsverbot. 1939 flüchtete er mit Familie nach Los Angeles, wo er gemeinsam mit seiner Tochter Erika vor deutschen Emigrant*innen mit karnevalistischen Programmen auftrat.
