Got frustrated having to use the window manager to manage my wireguard connections, so I write a simple script to let me do that from the console

Ok, Gnome removed the X11 backend and only supports Wayland. I'd be fine with that when they finally had separated the window manager from the full session. It's just annoying¹ to get logged out because the window manager crashes again – and that happens way to often!

After yesterday's encryption shizzle on my beloved Slackware, I'm happy to report FreeBSD 15 installed in under 15 minutes.
Providing all required encryption ootb, in a straightforward install process.
River window manager and all other related applications, on Wayland, are working perfectly fine.
One issue remains though: I had exactly this setup up and running two days ago.
ADD is the unnecessary state of mind for the restless.
Got couple of nice QOL improvements merged into the #DankMaterialShell Pomodoro Plugin yesterday - IPC bindings so you can bind Pomodoros to shortcuts in your window manager and automatic muting of notifications while you work. (optional setting)

Trillion-dollar idea: a tilting window manager
Mmmm, Nix has MangoWC in the packages repo as well
How about Panoramix-Saigon, an immutable, auto-updating NixOS with a Wayland window-manager ?
Now that's something...
With @… you gotta daily-check those repo's. Updated KDE liveslak, updated window manager goodies, updated testing (minimal KDE, with homebrew, flatpak and distrobox): on a roll!

Fridays I work from home. Do I work? Of course, of course, but not really of course 😆
Looking forward to prepping the travel laptop; in two weeks I'll head back for a couple of days.
What's on it? FreeBSD and the River window manager.
And then the mystery of the liveslaks; dloading the latest KDE iso as we speak, so I can install it on the work laptop. If it works, that is.
That's all the real work I'll be doing 🤣
