Remember those keyboard shortcuts in Cosmic? As a also-die-hard window manager user I do like the drag and drop into various layouts in the tiled overview. Nice hints also. Never been stacking that much before, willingly or unknowingly π
It all serves the procrastinator in me very well.

Another notch on the guitar. If you'd ever wanted to run the River window manager I've got you covered.
Riverβs window management style on Wayland is quite similar to dwm, xmonad, and other classic dynamic tiling X11 window managers. Windows are automatically arranged in a tiled layout and shifted around as windows are opened/closed.
Dots and setup are available on codeberg.org/thesaigoneer!

After yesterday's encryption shizzle on my beloved Slackware, I'm happy to report FreeBSD 15 installed in under 15 minutes.
Providing all required encryption ootb, in a straightforward install process.
River window manager and all other related applications, on Wayland, are working perfectly fine.
One issue remains though: I had exactly this setup up and running two days ago.
ADD is the unnecessary state of mind for the restless.
Fridays I work from home. Do I work? Of course, of course, but not really of course π
Looking forward to prepping the travel laptop; in two weeks I'll head back for a couple of days.
What's on it? FreeBSD and the River window manager.
And then the mystery of the liveslaks; dloading the latest KDE iso as we speak, so I can install it on the work laptop. If it works, that is.
That's all the real work I'll be doing π€£
In full swing on Trixie, with awesome wm.
But, most importantly, also revisit the dk window manager. And that is so nice ππ».
Very lean, made by Nate Maia, one of the main characters in the life and times of ArchLabs. And that's where I got all this craziness from.
Excellent distro, with an excellent community as well. And so many great offsprings out if it.
This whole Foss thing we find ourselves in today could learn a thing or three from it.
