Glad to see this! Imagine if Chesa Boudin, post-recall, had called out Jenkins like this too instead of quietly disappearing into academia.

Not that America should hold us up as a role model, of course.
England turned 250 in the second half of the 12th century (depending on how you define "England" as a country), when kings and barons were romping around slaughtering each other and the population with gay abandon.
Great Britain turned 250 in 1957, at which point we'd only just finally got past post-WW2 rationing and still possibly clung on to some delusions of being an Empire.
And the UK has another 26 years to go before we get to have a 250th birthday. Maybe we'll be doing good by then (but probably not).

just realized that i share a name with a weapon system (WW2-era Katyusha MLRS)
OK.. now this episode of "Tasting History" got me.
I've always been very interested in most historical periods. Ranging from the first organisms to 20th century.
One particular detail in history I always found fascinating was submarine warfare in WW1/WW2... including computer games.
In the early 2000s I was part of the "Pacific Thunder Campaigns" .. which was basically a bunch of "Silent Hunter I" gamers introducing multiplayer experience …
FWIW, it's pretty clear that the abuse of immigrants in the US and the abuse of Palestinians in Gaza/West Bank are copied elsewhere. I grew up (60's/70's) believing that these acts were wrong, and that the world had sort of learned it's lessons from WW2 horrors. It's distressing to realize how much I was taught in school was just plain wrong.

In Brazil, Volkswagen is once again being sued for its use of slave labor during the military dictatorship between 1974 - 1986. Looks like VW just exported the methods they had already pioneered during WW2 closer to home…
