If your kids (or you!) live in Ontario and are learning French, why not check out this book written for 9 to 13 year-olds? Le Kaiju de Mississauga tackles the 1979 Mississauga train derailment - an event that led to the largest peacetime evacuation in North America prior to Hurricane Katrina - through the eyes of a group of local kids who are obsessed with Japanese monster movies. Michèle Laframboise spins a fun yarn while weaving in some local color and history.

A book cover featuring a painting of a derailed train against a burning sky being doused in streams of water. We see the silhouette of a boy holding a book and looking on in the foreground.

I wasn't too happy with the synthetic materials used in my Chinese bedsheets, and I couldn't find anyone making cotton ones, or even selling me their designs.
Now they are made in Germany instead.

Anime duvet cover folded up.
Embroidered label out of shiny yarn, saying "MADE IN GERMANY".
