#30DaysOfBiking, Day 19: I'm on holidays with the camper van in Ticino now. Did a short round with the Brompton alongside the local array of camping sites after dinner. About 2.75km.
Found this nice set of bicycle path signs: The official bicycle route no. 31 has two variants: One for fast riders alongside the main street and one for slow riders (and pedestrians) on the lakeside. (…

Two bicycle signs showing basically the same thi.g:

A white on green and blue local one showing the idea between the two variants with many pictograms of pedestrians, playing children, a bicycle with a kids seat on the back, a kid on a bicycle, etc. on the green ground and a road bike on the blue ground. Unfortunately this sign has been vandalized with a black graffiti tag in the bottom half.

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 16: In the morning a normal and dry commute, on the way back home I did a deviation via the center of Oerlikon (nowadays a quarter of Zurich) to run an errand. Slight rain on the way from Oerlikon to my home. 10.6km overall (instead of 8.15km for a standard commute).

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 15: Weather was rainy and dim most of the day, but around 17:00, the sun came out. So I decided to run a pending errand by bicycle before dinner. I once again oversaw some stairs on the Garmin GPS and so the ride took a bit longer than expected and included a few hundred meters of a main street with a lot of car traffic. In the end I rode 12.5km in 44 minutes.

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 11 and 12:
Yesterday (#11) was just a normal commute, with a bit of deviation on the way back just for fun. (~9km)
Today (#12) I did a follow-up doctors visit at some specialist and some groceries on the way back. (~12km).
The specialist suspects that I have a typewriter's cramp in my left thumb from actuating the

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 7: Started during the (rather gray and cloudy than) golden hour similar to the tour on day 4/5 but farther and partially a different way back. Stopped in a restaurant I didn't know so far. 10km until there. A few more kilometers to come.

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 4 (and maybe also already 5): The initial plan was to #BikeToWork, but I didn't feel well in the morning and decide to work from home instead. After a longer after-lunch nap I felt much better again and worked far into the evening. It was nearly midnight when I mounted t…

My red-white Brompton folding bicycle leaning on a low wall in the night with rather bright "be seen" lights on the handlebar stem, under the saddle and on the rear end of the rack.
A suspension bridge with blue railings and dusty wooden ground. The night sky is cloudy in sepia tone. Some lights behind trees in the background.
A modern, artsy bridge with red-brown-ish guarding walls with round holes (and quite some graffiti) and neon lights on top shining downwards. Close to the viewpoint the walls are several meters high. But they get much lower towards the end of the bridge. The sky is pitch black.
View from a hillslope down into a rather flat valley. Two lighted streets with meadows around them in the front, city lights in the background. In between a dark river which mirrors some of the city lights.

#30DaysOfBiking, Day Three: Woke up surprisingly early, so I ran some errands with the Brompton in the morning before starting to work from home. Probably 4 or 5 kilometers.
Had one idiot of craftsmen van driver who overtook me and another cyclist very close (50cm I guess) despite there was traffic in the opposite direction. 🖕

I'm finishing my #30DaysOfBiking with a normal commute, but with a stop at my favourite Döner Kebab restaurant on the way back home. Got myself a Falafel Dürüm and some Ayran.

The old steel girder bridge over the Wutach as of today. Not or only partially seen are the two stone arches like short tunnels through the bridge headers.

#30DaysOfBiking, Day 25: A bit over 9km before dinner. Rode through #Tenero (mostly around the railway tracks), alongside the #Verzasca river, and the northern part of the wildlife sanctuary

A box-girder bridge reflecting itself in a river. Lots of green in the foreground, a village on a hillside in the background. Dark green mountains in the distance.
A meadow and some trees. One tree has two thick trunks and the sun shines through their V. On the left there are multiple mushrooms growing, on the right trunk, a second, much thinner tree seems to grow along.
A traffic mirror with red-white frame showing a cyclist in a yellow hi-viz jacket.
Screenshot (literally) of my Garmin GPS after the tour:

A suddenly ending pedestrian and bicycle path. A traffic jam and road construction site in the distance.
Everglade-like nature reserve. A steep hillside covered with forest in the distance on the right side.
A pedestrian and bicycle path made out of concrete passing through a park with some trees on both sides.
Brompton leaning on a guarding rail at Magadino grass "beach". On the other side of the lake dark green mountains with their tops in clouds and many villages on their lower hillsides. (What's visible is the region between Locarno and Tenero with the one valley cut being the Val Verzasca.)
