Working out with Kid1 at the local public gym (it's small, but it's ours!).
Editing an absolute gem of an article - interesting, well written, and, for bonus points, it cites Althusser all at the same time.

Stocking up on refrigerator pickles made from the cut-price, soon-to-be rotten supermarket cucumbers.
Swimming and working out with the kids at the local public pool and gym.
Kid1 spontaneously baking a few dozen cookies (nothing like this has ever happened before!).

Digging deep today
1. Reassuring support from well-informed professionals making me feel a bit better about, y'know, stuff
2. My father agreeing to fund better insulation for the house
3. The end of formal education for my son, who has decided A levels aren't for him. I think this is good as it's been a painful term, but we'll see.
