The just published timelapse #aurora as it was seen from Germany: note the green splotches appearing briefly all over the place, the nature of which - most likely RAGDA - is discussed in https://skyweek.wordpress.com/2026/01/25/allgemeines-live-blog-ab-dem-25-januar-2025/#Jan25 ("Das war das Polarlicht vom 19. Januar ...") with links to several relevant papers.

Just popped outside to see if I could spot any Aurora that everyone else got to see yesterday, and I can confirm it is absolutely tipping it down here.

On the automation front it's a bit imperfect the installer shows it's fetching an image, but when booted into Aurora for the 1st time it notifies me my current image is a month old. Ujust update fixes that, but it's an additional 3.4Gb download that imho should've been taken care of during install?
