Given starter homes start around $600k to over a million in many cities, most adults don't have that available to them, and likely wouldn't qualify for a mortgage to cover the entire price (unless they are independently wealthy), and need a min 20% down-payment. Requiring wealthy parents being the "Parent Bank" is yet another example of the extreme economic disparity out there.
