TIL that in the x86-64 SysV ABI, global array variables at least 16 bytes long are forced to 16-byte alignment.
But only arrays. If it’s a struct containing an array, you’re back down to regular alignment.
Windows, more sanely, aligns all globals based on their size on x86-64 and AArch64. Less sanely, the fact that it does so on x86-64 is (according to LLVM) undocumented.
Other AArch64 targets don’t do this at all.

Had to time shift, but have FINALLY seen the Bournemouth match. Really difficult opposition, who were up for it. Very impressed by Bournemouth's energy and physicality. It helps to have Michael Oliver on the whistle, but what can be done?
Jacquet deservedly the MOTM, but a solid case could be made for Alisson -- the fingertip save itself was a work of art. Having to come back against balance and gravity and still get a strong hand down? Clean sheet, again? God, yes.
