TIL that in the x86-64 SysV ABI, global array variables at least 16 bytes long are forced to 16-byte alignment.
But only arrays. If it’s a struct containing an array, you’re back down to regular alignment.
Windows, more sanely, aligns all globals based on their size on x86-64 and AArch64. Less sanely, the fact that it does so on x86-64 is (according to LLVM) undocumented.
Other AArch64 targets don’t do this at all.

Top Democrats in Congress have joined a California immigrant and the Nevada State Democratic Party in
suing the Trump administration over its unprecedented voter fraud probes in both states
and broader efforts to meddle in state-run elections nationwide
— alleging they are a
“pretext to seize control over elections.”

A California immigrant and a Nevada group, joined by top Democrats, sue over federal election probes
The lawsuit accuses Trump and his administration of using “shoddily compiled lists of supposed noncitizens” and “coercive threats" against state officials to assert federal control over the midterms.

Crowley stands tall, looking directly at the viewer, and wearing an Egyptian-inspired headpiece, resembling a keffiyeh with a sculpted cobra sitting above his brow. He bears a cross amulet over his black robe; his left hand rests on his ribs, and his right hand—holding a black wand erect—rests atop an upright stone tablet. On the same, c…

Had to time shift, but have FINALLY seen the Bournemouth match. Really difficult opposition, who were up for it. Very impressed by Bournemouth's energy and physicality. It helps to have Michael Oliver on the whistle, but what can be done?
Jacquet deservedly the MOTM, but a solid case could be made for Alisson -- the fingertip save itself was a work of art. Having to come back against balance and gravity and still get a strong hand down? Clean sheet, again? God, yes.

Gaetano Gandolfi, whose background and style are most aligned with the other works currently on view, was one of the leading Italian painters during his lifetime. Created at the height of his career, “The Annunciation” depicts the moment the archangel Gabriel visits Mary to inform her she will give birth to Jesus.
