It's wild how the best-kept secret in video is HDTV antennas. The quality is wildly better than streaming or cable, and it's free after the $50 antenna purchase.
The Zeroing of Knowledge: When Everything Is Known, What Remains Worth Learning?
Knowledge used to be expensive. It cost years of apprenticeship, tuition in the tens of thousands, decades of practice, and, more than anything, the brutal currency of time. A physician spent twelve years beyond high school before being trusted to cut into a human body. A lawyer spent seven years and a bar exam before being permitted to argue before a judge.
Kind of a dud article, given it promises mid than it delivers about the actual spawning process, but it contains an amazing fact:
Apparently Sigmund Freud did an unsuccessful stint as a marine biologist and was tasked with dissecting 400 male eels to try to find their reproductive organs, which he couldn't because despite being adults they aren't sexually mature until they migrate to their spawning grounds.
I feel like this explains a LOT about Freud's theories' focus on sexual organs (especially of the eel-shaped variety), in light of... Freud's theories.

The worst part about this story is that I know who McRib Hard Seltzer is (from my time on twitter) https://nyc.streetsblog.org/2026/02/19/antonio-reynoso-brooklyn-borough-hall-placard-corruption-parking
PSA because I saw another thread about social media data harvesting:
Anything you put on the Internet is public, forever.
No ifs or buts.
Worth repeating: Claims of "AI" democratizing anything (coding, creative endeavors, etc) are always BS. The thing locking out people from doing that is not having the time/resources.
You want to democratize coding/art/creativity? Give people paid time off to do it and access to infrastructure. Easy.
Brave Browser (@…) hasn't posted anything since August 2025. Did we bully the cryptobro homophonic browser off Mastodon?
Don't know, but I hope so :3 :8bitrainbow:
