Hey all
Finally, I think we landed on a great design with handling both reference (and seed) data in retrofit.
This week we demo managing reference data as part of the schema. Reference data is the data that apps only read, and never write, like zip codes and states. This includes data that might change slowly over time, like an order status label, or even currencies.

Wish I could trace down that thread by Casey Explosion about how app driven gig economy parasites start out as loss leaders to engage in predatory pricing. How they are able to burn through cash for so long because such apps are still seen as “the future” and a cargo cult of venture capital forms around them.
