A bet on near-term explosive AI-driven growth:
Whether U.S. real GDP per capita will grow by at least 15% within a single year
(measured relative to prior peak)
by the end of 2033.
Agreed on X, 15–16 August 2026.
Odds: 4:1
— every $1 staked by the fast-growth side is matched by $4 from the no-fast-growth side.
Implied probability of the fast-growth scenario: 20%.

Last week I ordered some equipment for pickup at Micro Center. It was a big surprise when I showed up in the morning and saw a thousand people lined up to get in. The line extended around the back of the store and around temporary barriers, like a theme park. Turns out it was some kind of "grand re-opening" and they were giving away flash drives.
Happily, I was able to come back later in the day and get my order, as well as a nice commemorative mug.

Coffee mug on a counter. This side reads "Micro Center Columbus", featuring a silhouette of a city skyline and logos for Dell, HP, Intel, and Lenovo.

Seems like a pretty good update from Tidal. AI music is getting out of hand on that platform. We'll see if they have it in them to get this done.

POLICY UPDATE
