This morning I had to get some work done so I did a short ride of just 3 miles around the neighborhood on the old 1970's Raleigh. I tried to notice what causes the squeaks and rubbing noises and did a little maintenance when I got home.
No huge hills on this ride, it's a 3-speed, but I did have an average 11mph for the 16 minute ride.

It’s been awhile since I did a “fast as I can” cemetery ride and I was amazed at my average speed. I kept it going on the streets a bit more to do 8 miles total.

I rode 11.8 miles today. Went to Firefly Grove Park in Wauwatosa where they have a pump track and talked to two of the guys using it.
One really wanted me to try, and offered his bike as well, but after riding there uphill most of the way for 4 miles I said "I'll just watch you guys!" so I did.
I did ride on the smaller part of the track, and I can see the appeal, with the right bike.

Somehow I managed 9.54 miles today in 48 minutes with an average speed of 12mph... I guess I made up for yesterday when I only did 4 indoor miles.

Bike Friends, uhhh… my wheel fell off? The fork slid apart. How much of a concern is this? I rode with no issues but I do hang my bike by the front tire all the time.

Today’s ride was tough but I got in 12 miles and saw a bird… I did see another large bird and a baby rabbit but didn’t get photos.

13.78 miles today because I got less than 5 hours of sleep so I was up and out early. 172 miles for the month (the most ever!) and just over 700 for the year so far.

I am hoping to do 1,000 miles on the bike this year. It's still June and I'm at 650 (surpassing the 620 for all of 2024.) I also did 120 this month which is the most miles I've done in a single month. I am glad I started riding and try to do it daily.
