The moss and lichen on the dunes at Holkham are always such a pleasure to see. Such variety - every patch is a bit different, and the little spots of colour catch my eye all around. These crusts are crucial to protecting the most stable part of the north Norfolk coast.

Legal Victory Protects Florida Wetlands
The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled today that permits to build in Florida wetlands should stay in the hands of federal regulators rather than the state. The ruling upholds a 2020 decision by U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss that the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service violated the Endangered Species Act when the agencies approved Florida’s wetlands permitting program in 2020.
