CFS is exhausting. On days like today, I can barely finish washing my hair before I'm so exhausted that I collapse into bed to rest before I finish drying off.
But I wouldn't have started washing my hair unless I thought I had the energy.
Some days I can walk a kilometer and do almost normal things. Some days even mental exertion is too much, let alone social or physical.
