So my CPAP started displaying a message on start up that it's motor has exceeded it's rated hours; fortunately it still works for now.
Called to get a replacement. Insurance said I needed a prior auth from my doc.
Doc says they don't issue prior auths (which I should have flagged when talking to insurance). Now insurance says to get my CPAP pressure/info from the local durable goods provider who somehow is in network with every damned insurance I've been on in 30 years (in US healthcare...go figure).
They can't give me that info; they need a script from the doc for pressure and other data.
Finally insurance upends all of it and says I need a new sleep study before I can get a replacement CPAP. Not a 'new' one, just the one I've been prescribed and provided, replaced b/c it's End Of Life.
That will take THREE visits and I won't have a new CPAP until SEPTEMBER.
MF I could have a god damned stroke if this machine cuts out.
