As we transitioned from the caravan back to bricks-and-mortar, we stayed here a few weeks, and very nearly signed a six-month lease to allow us time to house-hunt in #Canberra. (Thankfully, an almost perfect apartment found us just before the deadline.)
The staff were lovely and everything, but man, that place had a vibe.

Today I will be spending the entire afternoon shopping. In Civic. I promised a friend weeks ago that I would accompany her. Today is that day. At least there'll be coffee. And possibly food.

We went for a walk. I saw a pelican gliding along on the lake. Wasn't fast enough to get close enough for a photo before he sailed around a corner. But took these on the way home. Just a short walk in suburbia. Canberra views really are delightful.

We lost power for just a couple of minutes but it took a fair bit longer for FTTN to find itself again 'cos, you know, it's slow.

I saw an article about how good the food options are that are associated with churches. So I went to a Vietnamese place called O BACH across the road from Bunnings in Tuggeranong and had a pretty nice banh mi. Nice crispy bun!

Walked up to the St Thomas fete at Kambah. Had a look around but didn't buy anything this year. Seemed to be a lot more of the "lucky" chance type games and stalls than in previous years.
