Please talk to me about your #cats wearing collars. I want to put bell collars on ours to help keep the garden wildlife safe(r). I know cats need to be a certain weight for the breakable collars to work and will be having the cats weighed later this month for their flea & wormer. Tails will detest a collar, Sparks will probably get on with it. I don't want to put them at risk from strangling.…

So I had always thought that Erie liked to sit on laptop keyboards because of the warmth from the machine underneath.
But no, here she is sitting on a bluetooth keyboard (and it's not even on). She does it not for the warmth, but just to be a jerk. Though to be fair, I DID take her to the vet today, so I deserve it.

These are the “neighborhood cats” that the folks across the street from us started to take care of. They are outdoor cats, not belonging to anyone, but my neighbors built them shelter and look after their well being.

We need to keep the #cats' food fresh on days when no-one's around to feed them at lunchtime and it's too warm to leave lots of food out at breakfast, which is what I've been doing. We were given a feeder so I've cleaned it up and am testing that it works. My theory is that it will at least keep flies off fresh food. If it goes well I might upgrade to one that keeps food chilled. …

HOW I laughed when I saw cat soup in the supermarket. What kind of idiot buys their cat soup, I thought? Me. I do. Turns out I'm that idiot because it gets them to drink in this heat. I already add a bit of water to their breakfast and they lap every drop of the water in their Saturday morning tuna, and Sparks has just snarfed a pouch of soup let down with 50% extra water.
