What's interesting is that this exact set of technologies leads to decision paralysis in centralized organizations:

The problem here is a structural one, a function of hierarchy, where the direction of the flow of power determines what technology can do and how it can e used.
In a distributed network, this information is used by a central system to distribute data back to people so they can make the most informed decision. In a centralized network, this information is used to increase the power of central control node. It's a question of who is helping whom, who is autonomous and who is support.

This is a thoughtful and thought-provoking piece. Will we chose the ease of compliance or the friction of engagement as AI becomes increasingly prevalent also in our democratic institutions?
For me, I chose friction, as compliance has never been my nature. But my fear is I am in a minority, and the majority is quite happy to outsource decisions and cognitive work to AI.

I have a similar cognitive response in these two different scenarios: reading the sciencey page at the dispensary that shows how awesome this strain is.
And reading the sciencey page about LLMs like the one below.
I read them with the full intention of understand said science. Then I get a few sentences in, and what looks like made up words start appearing. A few paragraphs in and I'm not sure it's English anymore.
