The increasing precipitation deficit in (central) the Netherlands, 1961-2024. While precipitation in the growing season (April-September) hardly changed, evaporation rapidly grew. This explains the increase in the deficit (moving average) from around zero in 1961 to on average over 100 mm by 2024.
