Had an #acting #coaching client make a single physical change be the focus of a take and shot to see and hear their voice expand into the character in a whole new way. So good to hear their voice more fully animate the moments with new depths.

Working with an #acting #coaching client as they prep a role for self-tape. They did 3 very different takes in rehearsal, great seeing them dial in different aspects and versions of the performance. Looking forward to seeing them pick, choose and blend parts of the 3.

Had an #acting #coaching client do a take focusing on one aim, then do a take focusing on a different aim, then, for a third take, had them split the difference and it was beautiful to see them do the scene with that greater breath to it. Sometimes finding the pieces builds the whole well.

Built the physicality of a character with an #acting #coaching client. And, unsurprisingly, found a couple new ways lines could go for their version of them. Always good to see concrete decisions start to animate and infuse things with new specifics.

Worked with a #writing #coaching client on some ways to do screenplay outlining and also structure your own workflow so progress gets made even if time is tight. Great to help them have tools to keep their work, development of their craft and their material going.

Just worked with an #acting #coaching client who is new to acting. For a take on the first scene they've done, I asked them to change one physical thing they were doing. That take, from the first sentence suddenly had a different life behind it. So good to see.

Working with an #acting #coaching client we found a turning point near the end of the scene, and when we built that out, this wave of authenticity came through their performance. So good to feel it landing like that.

Working with a new #acting #coaching client, had them do 2 takes with the same goal, but a different attitude/assumption about the other character. Discovered the primary tension totally shifted. We get to build and place that discovered tension as we want now.

Had an #acting #coaching client try to tell the other character they loved them, but using lines as written, on the face of them, do not mention love. That take revealed the fear their character was feeling, made the peril more real. Revelation through counterpoint.

Played with energy level during a scene with an #acting #coaching client, and we found a layer, or well, or source of anger within it. And that highlighted how the characters still care about each other and hold each other close, even in anger. Good discoveries.
