A stolen moment from the Eighth Street Orchestra early evening set at the #DromTaberna - Louis Armstrong was criticized for including Show Tunes outside the trad jazz repertoire, meaning Broadway. Our take on Pop's direction is a little different, extra points (or dating yourself) if you can name the show

This just in: our bass-culture for #DromTaberna Friday evening is sousaphone master Tom Richards who's also featured on our in-process LP.
#ESO ain't yer dad's trad, dad, but with sous is something we can only do very rarely, and kicks it into alter-outer realms of trad, esp with Tom. I expect bootleggers 😅
