Omar Muñoz was getting ready to have his morning coffee just after 5am on Monday when he heard a loud bang at the front door of his Los Angeles home.
“Open up or else we’ll break down the door, and it’ll be bad for you,” the man on the other side yelled, Muñoz, 72, recalled.
Outside, Muñoz saw officers in police vests and opened the door.
When they told him to put his hands up, he explained he was frail after six recent surgeries.
He said something to the effect of,

So this was *very* good. Self-contained prequel to Friday the 13th, i.e. Jason's origin story. Tense, gory and a bit melodramatic, but top shelf if #horror is your jam.
And they did a spectacular job with the production design and the costumes, bringing 1972 to life extremely well. Lots of era-appropriate cultural references.
Kind of a special, unique vibe.

One example is Trophime Bigot’s “Angel Watching Over the Dead Christ.” A French artist, Bigot is known as the “Candlelight Master” due to his skillful use of light and expert dramatization of scenes. This scene perfectly illustrates Bigot’s ability to illuminate figures with the flame of a candle. Though he did not produce many paintings during his lifetime, the works he did complete are powerful and evoke intense emotion.
