I support ending the twice-yearly clock changes. But adopting year-round daylight time rather than year-round standard time raises important questions about children’s safety, mental health and economic costs.
During the darkest weeks of winter, sunrise in Nanaimo will occur shortly after 9 a.m. Many children will be walking, cycling or waiting for school buses before sunrise.
