Did I mention IC reversing is absolute crack for AuDHD brains?
I should probably put down the EEPROM, at least for a while, and move on to other stuff. But I'm having too much fun.
This is the dangerous part, and the part I have the most trouble with... the problem is so big you'll *never* be done (especially doing it manually without any automation, figuring out what each cell is by hand, etc).
There's always more to discover. Nerd sniping to the 20th power.

Schematic showing two NAND2s, an inverter, and a level shifter drawn out of individual MOSFETs with W/L of each annotated
Physical layout of the circuit described in the schematic with cells outlined and each transistor labeled
Vectorization of the entire EEPROM IP with image layers hidden showing the areas that have been traced out

«Because people have varying needs across disparate contexts from assorted expectations with unequal skill levels using almost random technologies, never mind current moods and real-life distractions, to suggest one thing will be accessible for everyone in all those circumstances is pure hubris. Or lack of empathy. Maybe a mix.»
So obvious but underappreciated. AutSPACEs ran into that all the time. Often one person's accessibility is another person's barrier.

Several months ago, I thought I'd be clever and get ahead of the curve by ordering a little buck converter from China so I could drive my LED Christmas lights from a constant 31VDC source and get rid of the stupid factory supply that requires 7 button presses each time it's powered up to simply light the string steadily rather than flashing in the most irritating, seizure-inducing way humanly imaginable.
Had I done more research in advance, I would have learned that:
1. th…

The math dealing with “the probability of B knowing C, given that A knows B and A knows C” was fuzzy.
But what about “the case where A does not know B, but where they have one acquaintance in common”?
Ed Greenfield collected people.
Ithiel de Sola Pool collected data.
Pool began to make a list of everyone he knew, including the man who seemed to know everyone: Ed Greenfield.
And then he sent that list around, all over the country, to ask people he knew if th…
