We’ve lived here since 1989 and this is the worst snow to shovel I’ve encountered. We only got about 6 inches of snow, but it was followed by at least an inch of sleet. Temperatures are not supposed to get above freezing all week. My adult son came by (he lives elsewhere in DC and had to take his partner to the airport) and he and I managed to clear our steps and sidewalk. Had to use a gardening shovel with a square end to break the worst of the ice. Took us an hour. Then we helped a neighbo…

Looking at other instances' local live feeds, in isolation, was … erm … I'm not sure how to describe the overall experience, but it was worth it.
