My friend gifted me a Criterion Collection streaming subscription, and for two months I've been unable to watch a single movie because I switched emails at the start (gifted to a work email instead of a personal one).
Terrible experience. I would not recommend it unless you get it through an existing streaming service like Prime/YouTube/etc.
I have been writing emails, reports proposals for what feels like weeks. I am extremely proud of my very excellent, productive and clever team who are achieving such brilliant science.
I am also tired would like to do some science again soon. 😮💨
Also, how can there *still* be >1600 emails in my inbox?

Nice people sending @… emails congratulating us on our “outside the box”radio show thinking we will really like their creative music
But, we have this one constraint…
It’s there in the name of the show! 🪗
That’s the one box we won’t go outside
We love to hear from listeners and artists 🥰
But if you go to the effort to send music to play on the #Accordion radio show, make sure it has some squeezebox in there
(Sending snacks might help too 🍪)
I follow the USGS Earthquake News Service emails (you can set a magnitude threshold for alerts) because I like to see the total distribution of earthquakes of different magnitudes rather than just hearing about earthquakes that cause a lot of damage. Yesterday afternoon there was a 7.6-magnitude quake in Panama, which is an extremely dangerous earthquake.
News seems to indicate that relatively little death/injury has resulted, which is great:

7 magnitude earthquakes are pretty rare, but are strong enough to almost always cause damage, unless they're very far from inhabited places. This one did collapse buildings and probably did plenty of property damage.
