Die deutsche Industrie verschwendet Unmengen an Energie: 40 % ihres Energiebedarfs könnte sie einsparen. Das zeigt eine Studie im Auftrag des Umweltinstitut.org . Durch thermische Isolierungen, moderne Motoren, effiziente Kühltechnik und andere Methoden ließen sich jedes Jahr 29 Milliarden Euro an Energiekosten vermeiden, bei einmaligen Investitionen in Höhe von ca. 100 Milliarden Euro.

Erst seit 2023 gibt es überhaupt ein Gesetz, das Energiesparen in Unternehmen und öffentlichen Einrichtungen fördert. Dieses soll jetzt „reformiert“ – im Klartext: abgeschwächt – werden.
