Yes, things are getting worse, and yes, it is on purpose.
Here's some receipts on how enshitification is creeping across the globe: #enshitification

Boah, Leute! Ich möchte keine Mausrad-Doomscroll-Orgie um Datum und Uhrzeit eingeben zu können. Ich will das einfach da hin tippen. Ging doch früher auch, was ist jetzt plötzlich so schwer daran? Zefix. #uxfromhell #enshitification

Tivo to start charging for existing free 'commercial skip' functionality
The buried lede....Tivo still exists apparently
Was a probably 2 decade devotee of Tivo but the utterly self inflicted disaster they became was worthy of an advanced business class in college.

I just got an email saying they're removing Google Assistant from mobile devices on Sept 4th and forcing their AI on to devices.
Didn't they kill Assistant last year?
I'm confused

So I just noticed something changed with my Nothing ear buds.
I have a dbl press set to skip forward 30 seconds.
If my phone is locked...the skip doesn't work, the audio briefing goes out but it picks up at the same spot. But if I open the phone it starts skipping again, don't even need to be in the podcast app
I noticed on a podcast where I was skipping and skipping thinking damn this is a long commercial break lol
Anybody else noticing this?
