On most platforms hashtags are not helpful. Facebook might be the worst that I've seen but I don't do Tik Tok and I'm told that is similar.
I went through a few "reels" and noted common hashtags.

Non of those anything of value for a user trying to navigate through the the mountain of trash.

Trouble is, telling them doesn't work. This frustration feels maybe something like what the kids say they feel like when their parents watch Fox?

It can be difficult to differentiate between 1) Facebook purposely making their users' experience worse and 2) Facebook being accidentally badly designed.
