I don’t have a father. My adoptive father was an abuser (physical, emotional, & sexual) who croaked more than a decade ago, & my bio father passed away at age 59 (before I identified him, sadly). But Mr. Boots is a father AND a dad, so let’s all wish him a very happy #FathersDay —I’m gonna cook him a delicious steak & baked potato dinner! 🥰

Father's day was a good reminder that the most important people in my life are my partner and my kids. My partner and I are doing a sugar fast next week, so I'm gonna throw on a dopamine fast as well.

My favorite breakfast place (Jagged Fork in #GrossePointe) is apparently a favorite amongst Dads. Halfway through a DoorDash order, we got a notice that they were closed to online orders due to volume.
I was really looking forward to their new Birria Breakfast Burrito. :(

One of the happiest periods of my life has been taking parental/paternal leave when my son was born and I had our three year-old daughter.
If you have the opportunity to do this, do it. If you have the ability to advocate for your workplace to have this, do it.
