Heute beim Spynie Palace festgestellt, dass der schon ziemlich unvollständig ist. Sogar der See, an dessen Ufer er gebaut wurde, ist nur noch ein kleiner Teich in mehreren Kilometern Entfernung.…

Dreistöckige Überreste eines Eckturmes und eine bröckelnde Verbindungsmauer mit Fenstern. Von dem Turm stehen auch nur noch zwei Außenwände. Das antike Gemäuer sieht nach Sandstein aus, aber da bin ich mir nicht sicher.

Eine Park-Bank sehr nahe am Flußufer. Der Standpunkt der Bank und der Winkel der Sitzfläche vermitteln ein unbehagliches Gefühl, als ob jemand ganz leicht die Bank zum Kippen bringen kann und dadurch ins Wasser fällt.

Ich finde es irgendwie liebenswert, dass man die dicken Hummeln immer an den kleinsten Blüten findet, so wie dieses Exemplar heute im Branklyn Garden.

Eine Hummel sitzt an einem Stängel voller kleiner Blüten, deren Farbe irgendwo zwischen Blau und Violett rangiert. Im Hintergrund sind unscharf grüne Stängel zu erkennen.
