Updated the codeberg.org/thesaigoneer/freebsd-mangowc repo. Still a lot to do, but at least the most relevant things are there, including the mango configs itself 😆 Also the sw selection has been amended, including yazi and foot now.

No error.
I guess, a coincidental lock on the package database was not reported as a lock.

Pictured: excessive use of the CPU by sddm-greeter-qt6.
A separate bug, with the same underlying cause? I wonder.

FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p3 on ARM64 in QEMU:
― SDDM, pictured, is barely usable.
After login to Plasma (X11), resolution is limited to 800 x 600.
How can I avoid the issue with SDDM?
Host: Kubuntu 25.10, Virtual Machine Manager with Ramfb for video. Guest: non-base packages from the latest repos.
Not reproducible with FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENT on ARM64 in QEMU on the same host.

In a nutshell: you can use it for RELEASE, STABLE, and CURRENT. No need to build from source for updates.
