First day without rain.
Right after work we brought our car to some maintenance and drove back by bike. Well not the direct way, but a fun way 😊
It felt really good!

Granddaughter is visiting this weekend, without her parents giving them a break. We are off to Barrie's waterfront splash park near Centennial Beach. It's basically a series of bouncy castles on the water connected by slides and bridges. Thankfully, our youngest daughter is chaperoning the granddaughter because I could not keep up with a 9 year old.

✅ Quick loop with my wife between some rain showers.
Feels so good to get out!

Friday night dinner at the marina and watching this humble craft get launched is our entertainment.

Ahh 1h calm cycling workout after an office day. Physical activity is a blessing.

Good morning from our morning walk!
It's comfortably chill right now but the forecast predicts up to 28°C.
Anyways, enjoy your day!

We've found a great new eating spot that serves diner food - simple but delicious. And we get to look out to Lake Simcoe and watch boats launch from the marina next to the restaurant.

Oh man, I'm so glad that my wife convinced me to join her on an evening #cycling loop.
I just was soooo tired. But some physical activity helps to get the circulation going again.

Good Morning #Canada
We are entering our 3rd week in the new house and not yet taking advantage of the access to water - just a 5 minute walk to a community beach and dock on Cook's Bay on Lake Simcoe. But I'm already researching #Canoes and #Kayaks and deciding how serious I should be about adding that activity to my retirement schedule. Kayaks and Canoes are Canada’s gift to the personal watercraft community, and according to the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), 12.4 million Canadians enjoy boating each year. After a flat period during the pandemic, that number is on the rise, and recreational boating accounts for over $10 billion in annual revenues, with approximately 75,000 Canadians employed in the recreational boating industry. Recent tech in inflatables and folding boats is addressing portability and storage and expanding the market. Here is a great resource article on choosing between a Canoe or Kayak.
