View of a large glaciated mountain massif rising up behind a final step of alpine forest beyond which only rock & ice remains. Only the upper third near the peaks is still covered in full ice, deep seracs visible in some parts. Numerous small waterfalls in the rock below and on the side slopes. The vegetation in the lower parts is all in beautiful autumn colors. A small group of yellow larches among swiss pines, bronze brown dried grasses and heather, red dots of blueberry bushes.
